The Blue City

Every wall, every step, every doorframe is dipped in a different blue — from powder blue to deep indigo. The color is said to once have kept mosquitoes away or to recall the sky; today it simply lives on because residents repaint it every year. It's most striking in the morning light, when the alleys are still empty.
